Innovation and adaptation: SG2P clothing designed specifically for military use

SG2P is a chemical protection suit dedicated to the military sector. Innovative and adaptable, this product has just been certified. In this article, you'll find a description of the suit, its strengths and the regulatory framework for its performance.

The SG2P is a chemical protection suit against liquids. We co-developed this product with the Swedish Army.

This chemical protection suit represents the best combination of two other MATISEC suits, the SAUVEGARDE and the TSA. It protects against toxic warfare agents. It is a single-use self-protection and/or emergency evacuation suit. The SG2P is transparent in color, to be worn over camouflage or reconnaissance gear. This single-use product has a life of 1 year and requires no maintenance.

Standards and regulations

SG2P offers chemical protection against type 3 (spray) and 4 (aerosol) liquids. It has been tested in accordance with EN 14605 and Finabel 0.7.C. Finabel 0.7.C tests guarantee protection against the following toxic warfare agents: Sarin, Soman, Tabun and Yperite.

This is a two-part outfit. The upper part features :

• A hood with elastic face seal
• Elasticated cuffs (or gloves in the same material as the outfit)

The lower section is equipped with :

• Drawstring for waist adjustment
• Reinforced overboots with anti-slip strips
• Ankle adjustment fasteners

Lightweight and quick to dress:

The SG2P weighs less than 1 kg. It is specially designed for ergonomic use in critical situations. The suit provides the wearer with optimum freedom of movement and comfort. It is designed for immediate reactivity, for example in the event of a toxic warfare agent spill, donning the suit takes less than a minute. Its ergonomic, lightweight design reduces fatigue and stress in hazardous conditions. 

A complete protective outfit:

SG2P is made from our own ATG complex of 14 layers of barrier film. It offers exceptional chemical resistance and complete protection for the wearer's body.

A universal fit:

The SG2P protective suit offers adjustable systems that guarantee comfort, performance and adaptability for wearers.

The SG2P can be used with other MATISEC products and accessories as required.
